How often should I come in for a brow wax?
It really depends on your individual hair growth cycle. Some clients come every 2-3 weeks, while others can go longer than a month. I always recommend returning when your shape starts to lose its definition or you’re seeing uneven growth.
How long does a brow lamination last?
Brow laminations typically last 4-6 weeks. I do not recommend re-laminating before the 4-week mark to protect the hairs.
Why didn’t my lamination last after the first time?
Great question! While this isn’t common amongst all clients, it can happen! Your brow hairs have been trained to grow a certain direction your whole life. The first lamination helps redirect them, but the second treatment is when you’ll see the best results. It’s almost similar to parting your hair in a new direction or part. It takes a wash or two to really get your hair used to that new part. If your lamination faded early, it could also be due to thicker hair or frequent head or water exposure (like swimming or long, hot showers).
Will waxing make my brow hair grow back thicker?
Nope! This is a common myth. Waxing does NOT change the thickness of your hair.
Is brow lamination safe for sensitive skin?
I always do a thorough consultation to make sure lamination is a good fit. This is why I separate “New Client” and “Returning Client” for my brow services. If you have very sensitive or reactive skin, a patch test will be able to show us how well your skin is able to tolerate the solutions.
What should I avoid after a brow lamination?
Avoid getting your brows wet, applying heavy oils, or using exfoliates on the area for at least 24-48 hours after the treatment.
Can I come to my appointment with makeup on?
Yes, you may. Although I always recommend to come with a bare face, I understand our schedules don’t always align and we may need to come in with makeup! That is totally okay. I always thoroughly cleanse the skin with my facial treatments and same with the brows for brow treatments.
